Program Unit Funding (P.U.F.)

ECS Operators may receive program unit funding for children with severe disabilities who are identified by personnel qualified to diagnose disabilities. A diagnosis of a disability is required but not necessarily sufficient to qualify under these categories. Eligibility for funding is dependent on the student’s current levels of functioning (performance given their disability) primarily within the learning environment, the presence of an Individualized Program Plan (IPP) supported by documentation and a variety of supports and services.
