Welcome to G.R.I.T. Calgary Society

The G.R.I.T. program is a highly individualized, home, community and school based Educational Program designed to meet the unique needs and aspirations of the child and family.

What is G.R.I.T.?

The G.R.I.T program is a non-profit Early Childhood Education Program for preschool children with disabilities. G.R.I.T. has been providing services to the Calgary Region since 1995.

The program was initiated to provide families with an alternative to centre based programs. For some families with small children particularly those with disabilities and/or medical needs providing the option to have the education/therapy program occur in the home and/or community is preferable. In addition, parents play a significant role in the organization and within the child’s program.
